ANGELO RESTAINO

Producer

Born in a quiet Washington town, Angelo discovered his love for movies at a very young age.  But it wasn’t until the middle of pursuing a biblical studies degree at Simpson University, where his passion and opportunity would collide.  In the fall of '04, the Los Angeles Film Studies Center would bring him to Hollywood and land him an internship in the feature production office at 20th Century Fox.  His time on the studio lot earned him acceptance into Act One, an intense writing program designed to guide and mentor budding storytellers.  By the fall of ‘07, he was surrounded by a tight-knit group of filmmakers, who were young, talented, and just as broke as everybody else.  Yet it was through these intimate relationships that he found success, launching Paper Crane Productions' first short film, GRANDE DRIP.  It featured music from Ingrid Michaelson and a hilarious cameo by the director of PRETTY WOMAN, Garry Marhshall.  Angelo would go on to write and produce several commercials along with his second award-winning short, KNIGHT TO D7, which featured performances by Emmy-winners Jackée (SISTER SISTER, 227) and Hector Elizondo (CHICAGO HOPEVALENTINE'S DAY) scored by the Grammy-winning composer, Mateo Messina (JUNO).  As he continues to create the future, Angelo hopes that the PAPER CRANE TEAM will strive to produce stories that are not only entertaining and compelling but also significant.

TONY DeFRANCESCO

Producer

Raised in a small Connecticut town just outside of New Haven, Tony took to sports at a young age. Even though he secretly loved the arts, it wasn’t until high school where his passion for filmmaking would begin to take hold.  Springfield College in Massachusetts offered more than just an opportunity to play football, it was here, where Tony was able stretch his creative legs and give acting a try. After graduating with a BA in education, Tony decided to move to Los Angeles, and risk pursuing a life-long dream to have a voice inside of Hollywood. Being in front of the camera was always the original goal, although it would take more than an acting career to develop a well rounded arsenal of skills that could sustain him inside of the such a competitive industry. It was this decision, that would connect him with a tight-knit group of struggling filmmakers, and earn him a place within the ranks of the Paper Crane Team. His unique ability to cultivate and keep relationships with every person he comes in contact with, has created opportunities that steer this company into an unpredictable and exciting future.
